Apple has released a patch of OS X 10.4.2 that may avert a denial of service attack. Unless you are running Tiger, or OS X Server 10.4 it shouldn't be critical to earlier OS users. Still Apple did tweek some bugs in Mail, iChat AV, Safari and the Finder, and made improvements to .Mac syncing after changing network locations. If you are a business, school, or just an owner of a new Mac this may be helpful.
